I met a lot of cool people on ragbrai, one morning I was stealth camping in a secluded area in clear lake and woke up next to another camper, Scotty.  He has been travelling on a motorcycle as a photographer and writer most of his life and showed me his amazing photo collection, he taught me many travelling tricks, he is writing a book about his adventures
